Medical Services

Bremond provides internal medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, radiology, EKG, Doppler studies, pharmacy as well as lab and dialysis transport.

Bremond nursing staff can provide IV antibiotics, Tracheotomy Care, TPN, PICC lines (evaluated on an individual basis), Gastric feeding tube care, Diabetic Therapy, Pain Management, Renal Care and Gastrostomy Care.

Respiratory services include Nebulizer treatments, pulse oximetry, tracheostomy care and BiPAP/CPAP.

The clinical team at Bremond Nursing and Rehabilitation evaluates each patient's unique circumstances and develops a comprehensive rehabilitation program. During daily treatments, therapists will work toward improving independence, strength and confidence to allow you to return home quickly. Additionally, the nursing staff helps to encourage continued success outside therapy sessions.

The overall goal of the Rehabilitation Department at Bremond Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is to strengthen bodies and reinstate a level of independence for each individual. Under the guidance of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the therapy team conducts a thorough evaluation and develops an individualized therapeutic program designed to help the individual restore function and build confidence.

Physical Therapy

Our team of licensed physical therapists can assist you with regaining your strength and mobility following a wide range of surgeries and/or illnesses. They will develop an individual plan for you that takes into account your tolerance of activity while at the same time striving to meet your goals. Our team is experienced with rehabilitating everything from hip repair procedures to knee replacements to recovery from acute illness.

Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapists will assist you with attempting to regain lost everyday functions, such as dressing, bathing and self-feeding. Sometimes when an individual is the unfortunate victim of an illness such as a stroke, these everyday capabilities are lost. It is the goal of our occupational therapists to help you be as independent as you possibly can. Occupational Therapy helps in the rehab process by analyzing one's activities of daily living and helping them adapt or regain their functional mobility through activity and/or use adaptive equipment.

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy provides diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of communication disorders such as articulation, comprehension, and expression of language, as well as chewing and swallowing difficulties. The speech therapist will also evaluate your meal textures and consistencies and make recommendations for foods which are easier to swallow for those with impairment.

We provide treatment of decubitus ulcer care, post surgical wound care, wound VAC, Specialty Beds and Ostomy care.

Laundry

All linens are provided and laundered by the facility. This service is included by your daily service charge. Your personal laundry may be cared for by family or friends at their home or by the facility.

Meals

The facility's menu follows a liberalized philosophy supported by the American Dietetic Association and the American Diabetes Association. Our nutrition services director will meet with you to discuss any specific restriction and or preferences you may have. The facility provides breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks to our residents. We encourage residents to eat in the common dining area in order to take advantage of socializing with fellow residents and enhance their dining experience. Visitors may join our residents for meals either in their room or in the main dining area. Please contact our staff to make the appropriate arrangements for you.

Barber/Beautician

An independent beautician/barber is available on-site. Our staff will be happy to assist you in setting up an appointment. You are responsible for all fees associated with this service.

Environment

Bremond offers an environment with comfortable furnishings, while also encouraging residents to bring favorite belongings to make a home like environment. It has an outdoor seating area that is beautifully landscaped and also has a media room along with family areas. Any transportation needs along with telephone and television connections are provided by the facility.

Activities

Our activities department offers a full spectrum of social, recreational, and education activities, all planned with the intention that you will find a satisfying and creative outlet for your talents and interests. Our activities program runs 7 days a week and may include bingo, crafts, ceramics, card games, social hours, movies, special parties, trips and outings.

Religious Services

Bremond has a chapel and members of your clergy are always welcome at the facility and are encouraged to visit you during your stay. Services for all interested residents are conducted at the facility on a regularly scheduled basis. Please check the activities calendar for times.
